The figures she cites are for all of Washtenaw County. In AA proper, sales are still down. From the article:
“The latest data doesn’t show gains across all sectors. In the Ann Arbor district, for example, there’s a 9 percent drop in unit sales, according to preliminary data.
At the same time, condo sales in Ann Arbor dropped about 11 percent.
Plus, pricing continues to slide. And some of the inventory lightening may reflect the owners who cannot afford to sell.”
And she points that the strongest sector is the sub-$200,000 level.

posted by OWSider on May 12th, 2008 at 5:34 pmI nearly made an offer on that house on Crest but found one I liked a lot better on Norway instead.
posted by imjustsayin on May 12th, 2008 at 10:06 pmI, for one, am just so happy to hear that everything’s going to be OK with the housing market that I’m just going to completely ignore the landslide of evidence to the contrary.

posted by Parking Structure Dude! on May 13th, 2008 at 12:06 pmYes. Yellow. That’s the one. All it would take is a little $30k paint job but there were other things I didn’t like about it, too. I’m happy with the Norway house.
