Incidents and Accidents, Hints and Allegations

Today’s News carries a somewhat baffling story about the newfound maturity of Michigan receiver Adrian Arrington in the wake of “the spring that almost ended his college career.” So what took place in this tumultuous spring? An “incident he hasn’t publicly discussed,” which, as the News helpfully informs us, followed two “off-field incidents” for which he was disciplined. All of these nonspecified incidents comprise “a checkered off-field history,” which could negatively affect his prospects in the NFL. (At least one of them involved a dropped domestic violence charge, but apparently the News considered this unseemly to mention.)

Well, we’re glad to hear that Arrington’s moved beyond the kind of behavior that led to these incidents. Whatever they may have been.

  1. “AAIU.” (as above) could have been a nice title for your piece, too…

  2. Okay, heh.

  3. I like the “incidents” title, though. There’s angels in the architecture …

  4. A much more important news update:

    Shaky Jake. Dead.

Sucks. Ann Arbor is now officially overrated. RIP.

I read this in “Rants and Raves” on Craigslist Ann Arbor. If you have a great memory or some NICE things to say, please go there and leave a message. There are some really nasty things posted there about this poor man.

Ann Arbor really is overrated now!

If anyone knows about a funeral, please post it here or there.
