alas, i visited the museum of naive art in rio de janeiro instead.
but maybe you could drop by CITI sometime, now that you have nothing better to do, and teach us … stuff … and i have the CCGrid 07 proceedings, if you wanna paw through it …
anyway, congratulations. (and welcome to the club.)
i love the irony - a ph.d. is probably the only thing more overrated than ann arbor, lol. congrats on your tenacity though - anyone who could spend that much time as a student without killing themselves is a stronger fellow than i.
blah. whether PhDIO depends on what your phd is in… if it’s a history/english/anthro than, yeah, it’s not worth the cost of the double nonfat latte that you will soon be serving to your former classmates. if it’s a cs (which i think i once read AAIO is) than it’s worth it for both academia and industry.
Do we have to use Dr. as your prefix in all circumstances now, or are you saving that for a) professional and academic communications, or b) tracking junk mail sources (you’ll improve your “yield” with the latter;)
I’ll be taking over this Web site some time in June, as previously indicated. However, I realize I made a “parity error” when I said I would be paying AAIO. Since this site has negative net worth, AAIO will of course be paying me.
Congrats. About time you took your bitching elsewhere.
