Poppycock and Fiddle-Faddle
The Calthorpe report met some tough criticism yesterday, including that of a former planning commissioner. The News reports: “‘It’s a waste of time and money,’ Thorp said, adding it was ‘riddled’ with errors and gobbledly-gook.” Is “gobbledly-gook” [sic] now official News style?
I often find that archaic derisive terms pack more of a punch than contemporary profanity. They get noticed for being out of place.

I was there, I commented, I saw other people comment, I say a tally of the people who are for and against the report and there were DEFINITELY more people in favor of the report. And I am not talking about a piddily number for, I’m talking about a lot. This just goes to show you how important it is for people to speak out in support of the plan. Let’s get the story right and not let the News dicate what the “community” thinks.
