Debate Tonight
City Council debate tonight organized by the New West Side Association, the Ann Arbor Alliance, the Michigan Student Assembly External Relations Committee, the Urban Planning Students Association and the College Democrats. Professor Matt Lassiter is moderating. Should be interesting if it’s anything like the League of Women Voters-run one, at which 3rd Ward incumbent Leigh Greden said in his closing statement that “complicated solutions require complicated problems.”
What’s your opinion of Matt Lassiter? Anyone? For the record I’ve taken his History of Suburbia class and it was absolutely incredible.

Perhaps the only negative thing you might be able to say about him is that, given the almost cultish devotion of his students, he could potentially become some sort of History Department Svengali if he ever decided to use his powers for evil.
