Like a Garlic Press, But with Words

Thanks to George Hotelling for hosting the new Wordpress-powered AAIO! Let us (us as in AAIO) know if you experience any problems with the new site. (Um, except possibly not in the comments at the moment.)

UPDATE: Comments should be working fine now.

  1. It is pretty… Though you might want to append your comments so that the titles of the inputs (name, email, website) show up…

  2. does this fix what you’re referring to?

  3. Very snazzy-looking. I like the bright color scheme. Peppy. Congratulatons on your new site!

  4. thanks! I stuck with the much-maligned white on black because I figured it was sort of my thing, even if it’s a lame thing.

  5. It’s nice, but I miss the lines between posts.

  6. Nope, it doesn’t. When the comment box comes up, the black print of the field descriptors is lost on the black background. Just so you know.

  7. Ah. It works on the seperate page view for comments, but not in the box.

  8. Wow. I guess black is the new black. Spiffy.

  9. test.

  10. Site looks good. Any reason for the color (blue to yellow) change? I also miss the preview part of the comment box.

  11. AAIO, when I clicked on your name (which looks like it should be a link) in the comment above, nothing happened in either Safari or in IE. Also, in IE 5.2/MacOS X.3.5, there are sort of weird yellow filled-in-boxes around every other comment. That doesn’t happen with Safari.

  12. Change is always difficult.

  13. pretty colors… *drools*

  14. I like it, especially the list of most recent comments.

  15. Comment preview would be nice, though.

  16. I don’t fear change. Nice new look.

  17. Happen to stumble upon ur blog. Its a interesting read….brings back fond memories of Ann Arbor (did my undergrad in UMich), keep up the good work :)

  18. thanks, mystic! Glad to inspire fond (?) memories.

  19. and thanks for the comments on the design, everyone. I never really liked blue in the first place, so that’s why I switched to yellow. I’ll take another look at the site in IE (I pretty much only use Firefox and Safari) when I get a chance.

  20. For the comments RSS feed, it would be nice if the feed specified which topic the comment belonged to.

  21. Now that you have all the bugs worked out, it looks great!! I really like having the comments in the same window. That pop-up always bugged me.

  22. This is just a Google test :)
