Saturday, In the Park(ing Lot)
Some Stone School neighbors are less than pleased with the school’s plan to pave over what they call a park and others consider a field behind the school (via the Ann Arbor News forums.) “Should we tell the school children that the AAPS paves over park areas without even exploring alternatives?” they ask. Reading the forum posts, we noticed that ever since that Observer piece about Doug Cowherd appeared, Dicken Woods and Sunset Ridge (referred to in the article as “pieces of shit” by a city employee, if you recall, but don’t tell the schoolchildren) have become bywords for parks of dubious value created when neighborhood associations want to stop nearby development.
Also, one of the more disturbing pieces of recent violence news appeared in today’s News - a woman scares away a masked intruder who broke into her Old Fourth Ward apartment and tried to sexually assault her.
So who’s interested in some kind of August meetup before those couch-sitting students come back and ruin everything?
I’m in…but if you have it here, you have to promise no brawling. After all, many who post here are students….
From what I understand, Boris is a notoriously “dirty” fighter. Damn cheater.

posted by Larry Kestenbaum on August 2nd, 2004 at 2:11 pmYou know I’m in. But only if it’s held at a special non-alcholic “teen night.”

posted by Kozzie on August 3rd, 2004 at 6:06 pmwould you happen to be the same Lawrence Kestenbaum that appeared on my ballot today?
Yup, that’s me — unopposed in the Democratic primary for County Clerk & Register of Deeds. My big race is in November, against the Republican incumbent.

But only if I get to punch Brandon. I hear it’s a lot of fun.

Thursday is flip night….otherwise I would have an AAIO special.
