In Like Flint
A local blogger provides a little background (with photos) on the recent Ann Arbor News Police Beat item about a man who broke a window on an A2 house at 6 am last Wednesday and explained his actions by claiming that there had been a flash flood on the Flint River.
The man says he is bleeding, but I see no blood. Julie brings me my glasses and bathrobe. I am now overdressed for this encounter.
The man takes off his shoes. He is now underdressed for this encounter.
Totally hilarious.

According to his account, he’s a boat person.
There are plenty of homeless folks in Ann Arbor. And unlike many city’s it’s size, Ann Arbor (and Washtenaw County) does a fair job of providing social services for them. Several local downtown churches open their facilities to the homeless and the brand new Delonis Center on Huron provides shelter and counseling. I volunteer once a month.

Dr. Zhivago is treating a man with typhus and he’s approached by a communist who asks what is wrong with the man. Dr. Zhivago replies, “He is suffereing from typhus, another disease we don’t have in Moscow.”
I’m sure Ann Arbor does alot for the homeless (or transients) because they would interfere with their lattes…:)
