Can’t Somebody See, What This World Has Done To Me
It’s been a little quiet around here, but don’t worry - we’re just at our 5th college reunion. We’ll be back later this week.

College reunion? I take if you didn’t go to a Big Ten school
posted by Lucky Jackson on June 8th, 2004 at 7:10 amNope. Anyhow, I don’t have Internet access out here most of the time, and, well, I’m trying to put A2 out of my mind. But don’t worry - not for long.

posted by Anonymous on June 8th, 2004 at 7:20 pmOkay… let’s play “Where did AAIO go to school?”
I’ll take the first stab.
Is it west of the Mississippi?
Awaiting an answer.
posted by Dan on June 8th, 2004 at 10:37 pmAnother interestign question - did U-M ever have class reunions. If so when did it stop having them?
posted by Lucky Jackson on June 9th, 2004 at 9:37 amWhy don’t big tens have reunions? Too many people? How do they pump alums for money then?
posted by Not knowledgable on June 9th, 2004 at 3:59 pmI think the closest UM comes to a reunion is alumni day for football. There’s a reception and some acapella concerts before the game. I’ve also gotten a bunch of invitations to events for alumni thrown by my department. Plus the alumni club you can join in pretty much every city in the world. Maybe they figure that’s enough to pry some money from the alums.

posted by sammy on June 9th, 2004 at 8:02 pmI heard AAIO went to Clemson on a football scholarship.
posted by Larry Kestenbaum on June 10th, 2004 at 1:46 amI thought AAIO studied packaging at Michigan State.
(Yes, that is really a major offered there)
posted by Brandon on June 10th, 2004 at 12:20 pmMy guess is that AAIO majored in creativity at Hampshire (also a legit major there).
posted by Nick on June 11th, 2004 at 3:58 pmWhen I was at the reunion, I met someone else who lives here. “What do you think?” I asked. He said that he didn’t want to offend me, but he wasn’t crazy about it. Oh, the irony.
I tried to avoid telling people who were on their second Akamai million or first assistant professorship who asked what it was like here, “Oh, I obsessively categorize all of its shortcomings on the Web.”
