I like this guy’s spirit, if not his spelling. I’ve never been to his little corner of Hell, but I will say that Massachusetts, for whatever reason, does seem to have more than its fair share of Dunkin Donuts…
Ha ha, what a wonderful idea. It would almost be too easy to do the same thing with Ann Arbor.
And yes, I think Massachusetts is one of the only states (if not the only state) that still has more Dunkin’ Donuts than Starbucks. I was surprised when I came to Ann Arbor that there weren’t any Dunkin’ Donuts around, but I guess it’s just what you’re used to.
What always struck me was the number of Au Bon Pains there are in Boston–another chain that started there.
I’m not Massachusette’s number one fan, but I bet there they at least have copy shops that open before 11 am on Saturday morning! I had to go to three places this morning to make copies. It wound up being Office Max and they suck because they don’t give you a discount for double-sided copying. Excuse me, I’m using half the paper, you should charge me less! When I pointed out to the guy behind the counter that that doesn’t exactly give people an incentive to save paper he looked at me blankly and was like “yeah, you’re right.” Duh.
As a recently transplanted Bostonian, I can vouch for D&D’s allure. It’s cheap, it’s full of caffine and, unlike Starbucks, it doesn’t taste like the roasted carcass of a dead animal.
If only this blog could be so poignant.

Thanks for the info, Shmuel. That explains that.
