Ann Arbor is the Marin County of the Midwest. So that means that we must have one of the strictest smoking bans in the country, right? A2 must be overrun with the joyless PC anti-smoking police that forces residents to wake up after a night on the town without congealed phlegm in the back of their sore throats and a heap of clothes to take to the drycleaners.
In fact, no. A smoking ban will take effect here in February, but it only applies to “worksites”, a category that somehow does not include restaurants.
